In the beginning............
So this is blog day 1.....
I haven't been out yet today with my trusty camera, so I don't have a lot to offer in terms of pics. I did go out yesterday tho, so I will post a few pics from then.....
This is one of the more common british hoverflies which likes to pretend it's a bee or wasp I reacon it does a great job myself.
Another common but beautiful bee mimic
This hoverfly is Volucella pellucens, a common woodland species. There are 5 species of Volucella in the UK, and this year I have managed to photograph all 5!!!
